DJC Teens is a FREE social program at the Danforth Jewish Circle. We offer a progressive and inclusive youth group for students in Grades 9 through 12, which focuses on empowering youth through creative learning, leadership, and social justice.

Past Program Highlights:

  • Teen MasterChef Challenge: A culinary competition for building teamwork and skills.

  • Montreal Trip: A multi-day excursion with other Reform Jewish youth from across the GTA.

  • Social & Outdoor Events: Including Havdallah on Ice, an Escape Room, and an end-of-year bonfire.

  • Volunteering and opportunities for teens to give back and earn community service hours.

Program Pillars

  • Inclusivity: The program is open to all teens regardless of Jewish background, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

  • Creative Thinking: Encourages youth to explore new ways of thinking and expand their horizons.

  • Community Connection: Keeps youth connected to their Jewish identity and peers after their Bet Mitzvah.
