L’shanah Tovah & L’chayim!

It was wonderful welcoming in 5775 with all of you at Rosh Hashanah services.

As you’ve heard, this is the DJC’s chai (18th) year.  And it’s going to be a year full of exciting opportunities to learn, sing, pray, celebrate, and take action together – not to mention the reading, watching, dancing, discussing, marching, and eating!  Board members will be around before and after Yom Kippur services, and we look forward to connecting with you and hearing about your ideas for strengthening and celebrating our community during this significant year.

Rabbi Miriam recently reminded us that after the solemnity and focus on inner reflection of Yom Kippur, Sukkot – one of the most joyous celebrations in the Jewish year – is a chance to pull people back together, and to feel the warmth of community even as we eat in drafty, temporary dwellings on chilly nights.

So, come.  Be pulled back in.  Join us in the sukkah, or by saying l’chayim together at another DJC service or event this fall.

Wishing you all a sweet year, Elisabeth Marks, Chair, DJC Board of Directors
