Many Ways to be Part of Community

One of the things we are proud of at the DJC is all the different ways there are to be part of our community.  In the past month alone we’ve had Shabbat services and an UnService for those more or less inclined to ritual.  Perhaps you helped us fund raise by coming to see Emil Sher’s beautiful, honest, and heartbreaking play TheBoy in the Moon, or engaged in discussion about the 50th anniversary of the Six-Day War, or attended a Movie Night or Morning Meditation.  Are you one of the lucky ones who will go on the upcoming sold out Walking Tour of Old Jewish Toronto?  Maybe you were one of the teens who completed their B’nei Mitzvah in May (Mazel Tov!).  Will you stay up all night learning with Rabbi Miriam for Shavuot on May 30th, or maybe you are part of the Pride Choir or group of volunteers helping to organize the Pride Kabbalat Shabbat and Potluck Dinner?  (Happy Pride Month!)

Have other ideas?  Tell us!

We invite everyone to attend our Annual General Meeting on June 11th to hear an update on the state of the DJC, to help us elect new directors to the Board, and to provide feedback on the direction the DJC is going.

We hope to see you there, and then again and again!
