Celebrating our Community and New Clergy at the Welcome Back Shabbat Picnic

Over 100 participants joined us at the DJC Welcome Back Shabbat Picnic for an unforgettable evening of joy, music, blessings, and surprises. We celebrated our community and welcomed our new clergy. Picnic baskets were filled, smiles abound, and the togetherness was heartwarming.

To welcome our new trio of clergy, Alan Gotlib created the song “A Package Deal,” which was sung at the event by a small group of DJC members which includes singers – Saara Greene, Tamar Geraci, Rachel Sheinin, Mike Fox, Hilla Keren, Susan Charendoff, Karen Cole, Karen Gold, Sharron Kusiar and Alan Gotlib.

They also sang “I Can See Clearly Now” as a thank-you to Rabbi Ilyse Glickman (RIG) for her contributions both as an interim rabbi and as our new permanent rabbi.
