Sasha – Ranger Stewardship project at High ParkHigh Park is special because it’s a haven of green in a concrete jungle that provides a respite from city life. I know this because, for my Tikkun Olam project, I’m working with a stewardship program called the High Park Rangers. In the park we do activities such as removing invasive species and doing community awareness events. The Program I am fundraising for is ‘Supporting Stewardship’, a free program for anyone between the ages of 13 and 16. It provides free TTC tickets for young people to make it accessible for all. Donate here:  highparknaturecentre.campbraingiving.com (Under donation note, please write:  “Sasha Gislason’s Project.”)

Ezra – Kids Helpline“Kids nowadays need to keep good mental health and Kids Helpline makes sure that is the case. Kids Helpline also makes sure kids have a place to talk about how they are feeling and quickly relieve some stress. These are all really important things for children, because they are the future.” kidshelpphone.akaraisin.com/ui/hostyourownfundraiser/p/TikunOlamEzraCowan

Sam – Camp ErinHi, my name is Sam Donahue, and I am proud to be part of the B’nei Mitzvah program. As part of my Tikkun Olam project, I am raising awareness for Camp Erin, a grief camp that provides comfort, healing, and hope to children ages 6-17 who have lost a family member or another important person in their lives.

Camp Erin offers a unique experience that blends the fun of a traditional summer camp with specialized grief support, helping kids navigate their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. It is a non-profit organization, and the best part is that attendance is completely free, ensuring that every child in need has access to this valuable opportunity. If you know a family that could benefit from Camp Erin’s support, please help spread the word. Also, if you are able, donations are greatly appreciated—every contribution helps the camp provide children with the resources they need to heal. To donate or learn more, please visit: camperintoronto.com/donate Thank you for your support in making a difference in the lives of grieving children!

Jonah – The Daily Bread Food BankFor my Tikkun Olam project as part of my Bet Mitzvah program, I am volunteering at the Daily Bread Food Bank with a group of friends. We hope we can sort 1000 pounds of food and raise $500. I would really appreciate it if you would consider donating to our group fundraising page.

Kalan – Canadian Cancer Society Hello, my name is Kalan, and for my Tikun Olam project, I decided to raise money for cancer research and awareness. Cancer has affected my family in many different ways, and this is why I chose this specifically. For my project, I will be running the length of a marathon, which is 42.165 kilometers, over the course of two months.  I hope to raise 750$ by june 14th the date of my Barmitvah but the challenge itself will be going on from march 1st to may 1st. All contributions are welcome and thank you for your support
