You Made a Difference!

Our DJC film fundraiser was a great success thanks to many of you. On Monday May 6, 138 members and friends of the DJC came together for a screening of the film Curtiz followed by a lively question and answer session with one of the producers, the screenwriter and the lead actress.  Afterward, all who attended had a chance to schmooze, nosh and have a drink. It was a wonderful night of entertainment and community building.

To top that off, more than $10,000 was raised and our Claudia Bali Endowment for Education now has grown to over $20,000! We have not yet reached our original goal of $36,000 for the Endowment but we’re on our way. Of course, you can go online any time and make a donation to the Fund that is dedicated to helping those with children in the school or enrolled in B’nei mitzvah classes who might need some assistance with tuition.

On behalf of the fundraising committee and the Danforth Jewish Circle: thank you to everyone who came out for our night at the movies, and to those who simply made donations. You’ve shown that you can and you have made a difference in the future of the DJC.
