CHILDREN’S JEWISH STUDIES PROGRAM UPDATE

  • Dec 31, 2016
  • 1 min read

It’s hard to believe we are at the end of another great term.  Some highlights for staff and students have included our new Middah (Jewish value) of the Month program and the awesome chuggim (special activities), which have included performance, 3-D art, storybook-making, and choir — all on the theme of our December middahOmetz Lev/Courage.  We are so excited to present the final products of these chuggim to our families!  We are also excited to share the songs we have learned recently, led by our awesome music teacher Sabrina, including a brand new tune about latkes.

This term has also included adult conversations with Rabbi Miriam and our participation in an engaging all-ages DJC Shabbat morning service.  The students were so proud to lead the community in the songs and blessings they had learned!

We hope you all had a Chanukah full of light and look forward to seeing you in 2017 for another full term of Jewish learning.
