SPEAK ARABIC OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES?

Arabic Welcome Sign

The DJC Social Justice Committee is looking for a volunteer from our community who speaks Arabic.  Recently we found out that the parents of the Syrian family we are sponsoring do not speak any English and although we will have access to other translators in the GTA who are working with Syrian newcomers, it would be ideal to have someone on our core team to act as a translator/communication liason with the family. This will be especially important with telephone communication to set up and confirm appointments.  If you or anyone you know can assist us, please send an email to the SJC.

We are now hoping to see the family arrive here sometime in the early Fall.
