WANTED: SCHLEPPERS, VEHICLES & FURNITURE

  • Feb 2, 2016
  • 1 min read

The Social Justice Committee is excited to report REAL STORAGE has generously donated space to hold the items we are gathering for the Syrian refugee family the DJC community will be sponsoring.  A shout-out to Sharron Kussiar, the Furniture Lead on our Settlement Subcommittee, who landed the deal.

Now we are seeking volunteer drivers and schleppers to move the items we are beginning to collect for the family.  We also need donations of good-quality, used furniture (no mattresses please).

Anyone who can offer a vehicle, their brawn and/or their brains (that includes recruiting others to donate brawn), please contact the Social Justice Committee.

Our goal is to make our sponsored Syrian family feel as comfortable and at home as possible.

Thanks!
